It's Bound to Melt Your Heart
Allo, tout le mondeeee.....
Hello, blogging world.
Just in case you were wondering....I am back from my little beginning of summer hiatus. I have a goal to continue posting on this fairly regularly. At least once a week. It keeps me going in an artistic direction, even if I'm the only one reading it =]. Since being in Provo, Utah I have been traveling to Southern Utah, New York, Atlanta, Connecticut, the lovely Massachussetts, and I am finally sitting on solid ground in the humid and hot Augusta, GA. So I will probably have a few artistic entries from those places in the futur proche. Expect plus de frenglish. Parce qu'au derniers temps c'est comment je pense ET je parle.
Loving me some Jenny Lewis these days.
Also, I left my pretty red moleskine on a plane from Denver. Sucks. So my kind sister Maya bought me a new black one. Elle est vraiment gentile (et riche).
This is a Sargent facial study. I love John Singer Sargent--mainly because of his eye for the angles of the face. And his eye for unique female beauty.

"I am officially a white person, or, the pretty mexican boy."
Yes, I bought a moleskine. No, that does not magically make me Ernest Hemingway. Yes, it feels kind of good. I'm done with school, so I figured this would be a treat to myself and something to record this beautifully anticipated summer with. Its paper is so....so smooth. The last photo is this mexican boy in my figure drawing class that is beautiful and shy. I love that combination, its so Amélie Poulain.

New Painting
Le mannequin s'appelle Sarah et elle est quelqu'un qui a l'air des filles de Waterhouse. La peau blanche, les yeux marrons foncés, et les levres qui sont toujours rouges....Ce sont toutes magnifiques! Bon, ben..
I've learned that I work best when I have many little projects going on at the same time. This is one of them à ce moment. This is in the earlier stages right now ....I am learning slowly but surely how to paint. Every new painting is another long set of mental notes and trial and error. As much as your actions in life make you who you are, so do your thoughts make your painting a failure or success. If you are overeager, the painting never lies. That's what I'm learning at least. Pour moi, I think the issues lie in prioritization. I find that I am either sacrificing proportions or appearance and this is the closest I've come between le deux, je pense. J'espère.
Sorry for the Frenglish. I've been watching foreign films on netflix like nobody's business.
This is my fave of late, a careful and thoughtful one:

I realize that both these images are somewhat similar in their subject matter. This was coincidental, I'm pretty sure.

Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.

A lovely lovely quote. I really love this girl's art: http://sundialing.deviantart.com.
She has fairly simplistic yet extraordinary lineart in her work. I picked this quote up from one of her pieces who picked it up from Mr. Vonnegut.
This is my submission for the BYU hunger banquet.
